Guitar Hero World Tour Review
From its inception back in 2005, Guitar Hero has been able to provide
video gamers with a big change in playing style via more realistic game
controllers, quality note tracking, and a wide range of songs under
their play list. But the music video game industry has grown
increasingly faster, hence the Guitar Hero series is forced to upgrade.
But can its latest release, Guitar Hero World Tour, live up to this goal
of beating today’s existing music video games?

Based on user comments and reviews, Guitar Hero World tour was able to
provide some of the needs its fans and other music video game players
were looking for-it boosted Guitar Hero 3’s difficulty levels, expanded
the song play list, included more popular songs from favorite rock
legends, and served enhanced customization abilities. Moreover, it has
transformed the once solo gigs into a larger than life rock stadium-by
incorporating percussions and vocals through drums and microphone.
World Tour was able to topple off its major competitor, Rock Band, in
one main aspect: avatar customization. You can fix your avatar according
to your preferences, ranging from changing your hairstyle to altering
the size of your face. This option can be very tricky at first, but your
avatar represents the guitar god in you, so you should be enjoying this
feature. You can even choose the moves your avatar would do while
performing your songs.
The newly added controllers of Guitar Hero World Tour have also proposed
changes in the whole game. The drums and microphone are easy to set up
and adjust, and they do provide quality sound effects at each and every
hit. These additions have enabled Guitar Hero fanatics to play and form
their own group however it still doesn’t pose as a great party game as
compared with Rock Band. This is because once you start playing, you
have to concentrate more on hitting the notes than sharing the music
with friends.
You won’t have to adjust yourself to the guitar controller since it is
still the same as the previous versions of the game. The guitar neck
however is more touch sensitive, thus you can now tap on the touch pad
rather than strum all the time while on the game.
While looking at the song list, you may notice that most of the pieces
under Guitar Hero World Tour are carefully chosen for driven guitar
players and those who want to play solos. The game’s song list has also
included a lot of songs coming from different genres, thus expect a
great number of unpopular pieces.
Probably the best feature players would enjoy in Guitar Hero World Tour
is the ability to create and share songs. Players can now form their own
rock group and compose their own music pieces through the music creator
option. You and your friends would feel like recording your own album,
upload and broadcast them over GHTunes.
Indeed, unlike its predecessors, Guitar Hero World Tour was able to
bring out new innovations in the music video game industry without
gearing away from its origins. The guitar playing has powered up with
better quality and is now incorporated with additional instruments,
which both newbie and veteran players would surely enjoy.
