Guitar Hero World Tour - Top tips on playing the Guitar
While Guitar Hero players are mesmerized with the new instruments
installed on the World Tour edition, of course we should not forget
about the essential instrument we use on the game: the guitar.
The guitar controller used in Guitar Hero World Tour is no less
different from the previous versions of the Guitar Hero series, but its
is always helpful to know how to play the instrument properly for you to
score more points and increase your performance level. Hence, when
playing the guitar, here are some of the effectives you may follow:

Act like you are playing a real guitar. Practice playing the guitar
while seated, so that you can put more focus on familiarizing yourself
with the chord buttons. Playing in a sitting position also enhances your
hand-brain coordination which you will use as the game progresses. When
seated, try to be in a comfortable upright position. Your hand should be
located by the strum bar, and your other hand should be at the guitar
neck. Also, rest the curve of the guitar on the leg in which you are
comfortable with.
When playing the guitar Ukulele style, you should first tighten the
shoulder strap so the guitar would rest against or under the top of your
chest. The strumming hand will usually press on the body for more
support and relief on the neck, hence making you look and act like a
Hawaiian guitar player.
When you feel like being a real rock star when playing the game, you may
play the guitar controller standing up. Adjust the shoulder strap and
let the guitar hang around or below your stomach, with the fret hand
supporting the guitar's weight. Your strumming hand meanwhile will hover
around the guitar body, but make sure not to press too hard on it. You
can also point your neck outwards, if you're comfortable with it.
You should also practice doing pull-offs and hammer-ons. These
techniques have to be done in certain segments of the song, and they are
as well taught in game tutorials. Hammer-ons are note gems which are
played from left to right, and they only need one strum in order to be
played. Pull-offs meanwhile are the opposite, since the low notes need
to be strummed once while the higher notes have to be tapped. These
techniques are taught in the tutorial, and you will recognize them by
looking at the sequence of the notes on the screen.
To do a hammer-on, you must hold the fret button down for the first
incoming note, and strum once the note reaches the bottom of the screen.
You then tap the respective fret buttons of the following notes without
the need of strumming. To do a pull-off, you strum on the first high
note, then tap the lower notes that will come your way. |
